Heartstart Training

Wednesday 17 February at 7.30pm - Callander Fire Station 

Trossachs Search and Rescue team will provide this invaluable training for those living in our rural communities, showing what action to take in an emergency during the vital period before an ambulance arrives, including the opportunity to practice the skills on training manikins.  See more details here.

Many local groups and health-related organisations joined together to show what facilities and support to living a healthier lifestyle are available in the Trossachs area.   Full details here

Ever wondered what running a gallery involved? Find out more at our evening meeting in Galleria Luti, which exhibits contemporary Scottish art including painting, jewellery, pottery, glass and sculpture.

Meet our members and find out about our plans for the summer months - fishing, photography, BBQ, helping out and organising community events.... We’ll finish the evening with a short tasting of Scottish wines, organised by Deli Ecosse.

Fly Fishing at Loch Venachar

Wednesday 19 May at 7pm - Loch Venachar

Our members showed an interest in fishing, so what better place than beautiful Loch Venachar, where we’ll have a fly casting demonstration and also be able to try out dry-casting ourselves.  Afterwards we'll head to the Byre Inn at Brig o'Turk.

Growing in Gartmore

Wednesday 16 June at 7.30pm – Gartmore House & The Black Bull Hotel

Green Routes is a social enterprise based in the Walled Garden of Gartmore House, with an aim of teaching transferable skills to young adults with learning disabilities.  Gillian Forster who set up the project will tell us all about this worthwhile initiative, including the support received from many volunteers.  Afterwards we’ll have a short meeting and the opportunity to network in the Black Bull Hotel in Gartmore, which by June will just have been renovated and re-opened by Liz McGregor’s of Aberfoyle.

Wednesday 14 July at 7pm – Trossachs Pier, Loch Katrine

Woman in the Trossachs’ major summer project gets underway on Loch Katrine with the launch event of the digital photography competition we are running for the National Park’s Scottsland programme.  The ‘Lady of the Lake’ will sail on a 2-hour cruise offering the opportunity to see and photograph evening scenery on the loch that inspired Sir Walter Scott to write his famous poem The Lady of the Lake.  Women in the Trossachs members will host and run this evening.  The Scottsland photography competition being promoted will continue throughout the summer until September.

Family Barbeque

Wednesday 18 August from 6.30pm - West Moss-side Farm
